Songwriting
Melody, harmony, riffs and motives, chord rhythm, song structure, verses, bridges, choruses... You hear all of these everyday - they're a part of every song. We're going to deconstruct several popular songs to find out what makes them good, and then you will use those building blocks to make your own songs. We'll break down the differences between a verse, chorus and bridge, both musically and lyrically. Finally, we'll talk about techniques and strategies that are unique to worship songwriting and try to pen a song for congregational singing.
Visual Design
Something new at camp this year! This stream elective will be responsible for designing, creating and delivering the 'Daily Bread' to delegates each morning. Designing layout, taking photos, writing articles, interviews and providing all the 'goss' will be your job.
